If you've ever wondered what a team of women who work at a modest clothing boutique wears day to day, you are in the right place. This is my first post in a new series we're doing, "Team Favorites", where we will be sharing what our team is reaching for each season. And honestly, this is one of my favorite things about our team. We all love modest fashion, but the way each of us expresses that looks so different, and I think that is kind of the whole point.
Modest style isn't one thing. It's not one aesthetic, one silhouette, one look. The women on our team prove this every single day by showing up in their own individual style and working hard.
Let me introduce you to a few of them so you can see some of our favorites for the spring season!
SKYLAR – 'SAVANNAH' DRESS
Skylar, our Creative Coordinator, has a style she calls "cottage boho" – think natural fabrics, delicate details, and pieces that feel effortless. Her spring favorite is the 'Savannah' Square Neck Knee Length Dress, and it is the perfect fit for her. Cotton-linen blend, flutter sleeves, a modest square neckline – it's the kind of dress that does all the work for you on a warm morning when you just want to feel put-together and comfortable at the same time.
GRACE – TEE & 'ALLY' SKORT
Grace, our Warehouse Manager, has the best style description I've ever heard: "punk grandma art teacher." I genuinely love that for her. She's on her feet and on the move all day, so she's our resident skort queen – almost always pairing one of our skorts with a fun graphic tee or sweatshirt. Her current spring favorite outfit is the 'Jesus Loves You' Comfort Colors Tee paired with the 'Ally' Athletic Skort in Celadon Green. This is the kind of outfit that keeps up with you no matter what your day throws your way.
SARAH – 'MORGAN' TOP & 'SARA' SKIRT
Sarah, our Warehouse Assistant, is right there alongside Grace keeping our inventory stocked and organized, so she needs an outfit that can move with her. She's been loving the 'Morgan' Cotton Gauze Button Down Top in White paired with the 'Sara' Classic Stretch Denim Skirt in Light Wash, and it is truly the perfect spring combination. JALENE – 'CINDA' SWEATER & 'ADDISON' SKIRT
Jalene, our Shipping Manager, is all about comfortable and classy – and she nails it every time. That little move takes the whole look from casual to put-together without any extra effort. I like to steal that little trick when I'm styling my own outfits as well.
HANNAH – 'HILLARY' TOP & 'PALOMA' SKIRT
Hannah, one of our Shipping Associates and a Store Stylist, gravitates toward earthy, neutral tones and looks that are effortlessly chic. For spring, she's been loving the 'Hillary' Lettuce Hem Top in Olive paired with the 'Paloma' Ditsy Floral Tiered Maxi Skirt – a look that just makes sense. It's fresh, feminine, and it's the kind of modest spring outfit that brings the charm and freshness of the spring season!
JENNA – 'BEKAH' DRESS
And then, there's me. I'm Jenna, the Marketing Team Lead, and if you've been around for awhile, hello – it's nice to officially meet you! My style is pretty simple: I want to feel like myself, I want to be comfortable, and I want to be able to throw something on and just go. My spring favorite has to be the 'Bekah' Cotton Gauze Tiered Maxi Dress. The fabric, the buttons, the tiered skirt – it's one of those pieces that looks like you put in way more effort than you did, and I am always looking for those simple and effortless looks for when the weather starts warming up.
